County on Pace for $59 Million Surplus for 2010

     At a May 16 meeting of the Committee on Budget & Appropriations, Westchester County Budget Director Larry Soule reported that Westchester County was on pace to deliver a $54 Million surplus for 2010. Said Westchester County Legislator Peter Harckham, “This is in large part due to the Board’s efforts to reduce the workforce and reform employee benefits. Westchester County Government continues to live well within its means, befitting a AAA rated county.”
