U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Endorses Harckham Re-election Bid

Katonah, New York – September 26, 2011 – United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand visited Bedford on Sunday to endorse the re-election of County Legislator Pete Harckham.

“I am pleased to give my endorsement to Peter Harckham. Pete has a record of working in a bipartisan manner to help address the difficult challenges our communities face. He has exactly the experience we need in Westchester County. I know that Pete will continue to advocate for the people of Westchester, and I urge voters to join me in supporting Peter Harckham’s re-election to the County Legislature,” said Senator Gillibrand.

Following Senator Gillibrand’s remarks, Harckham said, “I am grateful the senator has recognized my bipartisan accomplishments in lowering taxes, cutting spending, reducing the size of the county workforce, protecting our environment and safeguarding our families. I believe we need far less rhetoric and more people willing to reach across the aisle to achieve solutions.”
